The Rovaniemi Group– a knowledge bazaar in visual communications that unites practice, research and education
The Rovaniemi Group takes its name from a meeting held at the University of Lapland in 2007 between leaders of the European design profession.
It is related to both PREdesign and Cumulus, which acts as an umbrella organisation for its activities.
The Practice, Research & Education in Design Forum (PREdesign) exists to develop a platform for knowledge exchange and practice, to advance the understanding of the role of research, and to create a forum for debate.
Cumulus is the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media. It exists to share global knowledge, respect cultural diversity and share global responsibility in building sustainable creative societies.
